What is Scalp Pigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical, cosmetic tattoo procedure that replicates the appearance of natural hair follicles on the scalp.

Using advanced micropigmentation techniques and specialized pigments, tiny dots are deposited into the scalp to create the illusion of fuller hair or a closely shaved head.

SMP is a highly effective solution for those experiencing hair thinning, baldness, or visible scalp scarring, providing a realistic and confidence-boosting result.

How is the treatment done?

The treatment begins with a consultation to assess your hair loss pattern, desired look, and discuss the best approach.

Using a sterile microneedle and a digital device, pigment is applied in layers to mimic natural hair follicles. The treatment typically requires 2 to 4 sessions, spaced about one to two weeks apart, to build density and achieve a natural finish.

The pigment shades are carefully selected to match your natural hair color and skin tone, ensuring seamless blending.

Who can benefit from it?

Scalp Micropigmentation is suitable for men and women dealing with various types of hair loss, including receding hairlines, thinning crowns, or complete baldness.

It is also ideal for individuals with alopecia or those seeking to camouflage scars from hair transplants, injuries, or surgeries. SMP offers a versatile solution for anyone wanting to restore the appearance of hair density and redefine their hairline with minimal upkeep.

How long does it last?

Scalp micropigmentation results typically last between 4 to 6 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure.

Oily skin, heavy sweating, or frequent exposure to UV rays may cause the pigment to fade more quickly, while proper aftercare and occasional touch-ups can extend the longevity of the results.

Most clients return for a refresh session every few years to maintain the sharpness and depth of the pigment.

A follow-up session is usually scheduled 1 to 2 months after the initial procedure to perfect the color and ensure optimal results.

Aftercare & Healing Process

Following the treatment, the scalp may appear slightly red and sensitive, and you might notice small scabs forming as part of the natural healing process.

These scabs will begin to flake off within a few days. It’s important to avoid washing the scalp, sweating excessively, or exposing the area to direct sunlight for the first 4 to 5 days.

You should also refrain from swimming, shaving your head, or using harsh products during the healing period, which typically lasts 7 to 10 days.

Picking or scratching the treated area should be avoided to prevent pigment loss and ensure even healing. Once the skin begins to heal, a gentle, recommended moisturizer can be applied to soothe dryness.

The final results will gradually become visible after the pigment settles and the skin has fully recovered.
